  1. BS Computer Science/Economics/Mathematics

To be eligible, you must complete your HSSC (Pre-Engineering) with at least 60% marks. 

Alternatively, you must have completed A’ Levels with at least one ‘B’ and two ‘C’s in three main subjects, including Mathematics, with no grade lower than a ‘C’ in any of the subjects.

  1. BS Accounting and Finance/Social Sciences and Liberal Arts

To be eligible, you must have HSSC with at least 60% marks. 

Additionally, you must have achieved at least one ‘B’ and two ‘C’s in your three principal A’ Level subjects, with no grade lower than a ‘C’ in any of them.

The English part of the test includes reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary. The Math part tests basic math skills following the SAT curriculum.

The test does not deduct marks for wrong answers. To pass the test, you need to get at least 60% marks.

Q: Can international students apply for IBA programs at the institute?

A: Yes they can. Foreign/International students, non-resident Pakistanis, and Pakistani Nationals who meet the SAT, ACT, GRE, or GMAT score requirements do not need to take the IBA undergraduate or graduate admissions test. However, they must take part in the group discussion (only for graduate applicants) and interview.

Q: Can students apply to IBA before their final results are announced?
A: Students who have not received their final results can still apply to IBA if they have no deficiency in their academic career in previous years. However, their admission will be conditional until they submit the required results.

Q: Do all students who want admission in IBA need to take the aptitude test?

A: You can skip the IBA admissions test if you get good scores on the S.A.T., GRE, or GMAT. But you still have to pay the application fee and get the admit card. After passing the test, you will have a group discussion and interview.

Q: Does the IBA offer any fee discounts for students?

A: IBA gives fee discounts to students in the top 10 of the IBA merit list. The merit list is based on how well students perform in the IBA admission test. Needy students can also choose to pay their fees in installments.

Q: I passed all the tests and interviews and got into an IBA program. But I can not afford the tuition. Can IBA give me scholarships or freeships?

A: The IBA helps students with financial aid through scholarships. Anyone who meets the admissions test and other requirements can join the full-time morning program, even if they can not afford it. A committee looks at applications from students who need help and gives aid to those who show they need it. In the 2008-09 academic session, 280 students got scholarships worth Rs. 31 million.

Q: What are the passing marks of IBA?

A: Minimum 60% marks are required to pass the test. Students who are unable to meet the SHD prescribed criteria do not get called for Group Discussion.
